I started to become interested in the world of casinos and gambling when I wasn’t 20 years it was around the late 80s, and I scoured the most luxurious resorts in the U.S.
I worked as a journalist in Las Vegas Sun and I lived in a town actually called Sin City.
Like any self-respecting casino player, I often went joyriding in Reno, a smaller city than Las Vegas and also located in the state of Nevada.
I also often spent a few days in Atlantic City, New Jersey due to this, I usually slept in hotels of casinos than at home.
The strip clubs, I am referring to bars with go go dancers and not prostitution places which are widespread in Nevada, they naturally became my second home.
I got married 4 times in 5 years, always in one of the numerous wedding Chapels of Las Vegas and never far from an Elvis impersonator.

At that time, my favourite gambling games were among the table games, often regarded by players as noble games, as opposed to slot machines, with Blackjack and Roulette at the top, and Craps preferred by Americans and Baccarat by Asians, especially in casinos in Macau like in the famous Grand Lisboa.
In Blackjack, I knew perfectly of my chances to get twenty-one because I just had to count the cards already distributed by the dealer and apply the rules of probability tables which I knew very well.
I was not as famous as the students of MIT immortalized by the film Las Vegas 21 but I enjoyed a bit of fame.
In Roulette, martingales whether it was Piquemouche or Alembert, ascending or descending with or without Paroli. I managed to limit my losses during bad days and increase my winnings during lucky days, in a game where you can lose your mind and fortune.
If the dealer’s famous words are “place your bets”, “the bets have been placed” and “no more bets” the player’s have to imperatively be “keep a cool head and do not bet more than you had planned” otherwise you will risky having an addiction problem.

I later discovered slot machines and their progressive jackpot including video pokers and their Royal Straight Flush.

In the late 90s, anxiously waiting for the 2000 bug which never came and with the millennium hype, the first American online casinos were launched like Golden Palace, Bodog, or Casino on Net (888.com), also rare French online casinos like Casino 770(Groupe Partouche) or Yachting Casino launching the tide of online gambling and raising the question about their control and the legalisation of online casinos in particular.
At the same time, video slots which sometimes have a tactile screen which replaced the good old mechanical slot machines were launched on Liberty Bell which Charles Fey invented in the cellar of his home in 1897, causing a revolution in the world of casinos.

These two inventions gave birth to free slots in demo mode or real mode.

When I started playing their new variant of 5 reels and multi-lines, I was quickly convinced by their numerous options such as the Wilds, Progressive Jackpot, Bonus Game and other Free Spins, and I gradually started spending my free time playing in the casinos between the Black Jack tables, Roulette, slot machines and video pokers.

Purists will tell you that they sensibly earn you less money than a good table game.
It is often true but like in Bingo or its variant Keno, it is not only the payment rate that makes a game interesting, it is also what we call today gameplay.
For this, slot machines have a huge advantage because of their variance, i.e. the frequency of their payouts.
In fact, a slot with a low variance means that you’ll often win small amounts but never a huge amount, while a slot with a high variance requires you to stay calm and patient because when the machine is inactive the time may seem long but when you win its the jackpot.
This is undoubtedly one of the most risky bet that must be taken knowingly. Each player should find the type of slot machine that suits him, from the "small player" to the "high roller" starting with the average.

Since then, decks of Blackjack tables contain 5 or 6 sets of cards in order to avoid this trick. In extreme cases we have sometimes seen up to 21 card games!
