Online gambling regulator in Spain is in deep discussions with its Italian and French counterparts, respectively named Amministrazione Autonoma dei Monopoli di Stato (AAMS) and Autorité de Régulation des Jeux En Ligne (ARJEL). It could enter in the following weeks the partnership already signed between the two european organisations.
Following rumours, the italian and french regulators signed a cooperative partnership, as we covered here. This agreement is intended to enable further cooperation and information exchange between the two countries. It is also helpful to find solutions to common problems and facilitate the organisation and operations for both authorities.
The head of spanish regulator hopes this partnership between the ARJEL and the AAMS will allow them to share their funding. Indeed, following the Black Friday events (full story here) operators no longer wish to locate in grey areas. If funds are shared, it would allow the creation of a stronger working environment, which should bring back trust and attract new operators. However, for now, sharing funds has not yet been adressed during the negotiations.
