ARJEL has just suspended the license of the online poker room Full Tilt Poker, which has so far failed to provide sufficient economic and financial evidence for its activity to be legitimate in France.
Following the events of the Black Friday, already discussed in this article, ARJEL requested to Full Tilt Poker the documentary evidence proving its financial capacity to cover the balance of its French players accounts. Since the regulator has not received the requested evidence as, it has decided to suspend the license of the online poker room, just like the Alderney Gambling Control Commission recently did with the .com license – as we already announced in this news.
So far, ARJEL has not given any indication about the length of this suspension. Full Tilt could soon be bought by European investors, which would allow the site to raise sufficient funds to repay the US players and demonstrate its capacity to cover the balance of French players accounts. This will allow Full Tilt Poker to reopen its doors soon enough. However, currently the virtual room does not have any license, as – for example – it has not been authorised in Italy or Estonia.
