All of the rooms that we present to you guarantee a reliable game, an equity party, secure transactions and a forfeit to recoup your money. Before starting the game, we recommend you read the reminder of the rules of Rummy.

Rules of the game

Rummy is played with 2 packets of classic cards and 4 jokers. The order of the cards is Ace, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, Jack, Queen, King, and Ace. The cards 2-10 are valued at their own face value (2 to 10 points). The figures are valued at 10 points each. The Aces have a double value (1 before the 2 and 11 after the King). The Joker meanwhile is not worth any points but it can replace any card of your choice.

The aim of the game

The aim of the game is to put down all the cards in your hand in the following formation: 3 of a kind, four of a kind or a run. The losers score a number of points. To win you have to have the least number of points at the end of the game.

Order of play

Each player starts each round with 13 cards. On your turn, draw the first card from the stock pile or the first card from the discard pile but only if it allows you to set down one or more of your cards directly. Then you can set down all or part of your hand as combinations or by completing a game already on the table. You also have an opportunity to take a joker already placed on the mat by replacing the card it represents. After your turn, discard one card by putting it face up on the discard pile. To be allowed to play you must first have done a first set down according to the rules. The first time you must put down, at least a sequence of 3 cards of the same colour, not a joker. The combination of the first set down must value 51 points.

Keeping score

When a player no longer has any cards, the round is over. The losers count up the points for each of the cards they still have. The Aces are worth 11, the figures 10, the joker 50 and the numbers are worth their face value. When a player has all of their hand at the end of the round they have scored 100 points. When a player sets down all their cards in one go it’s a gin rummy. That subtracts 50 points from their total.
